Vivo interiors--a frame-and-tile system
In the Vivo frame-and-tile system, steel frames define the workspace, provide the foundation for hang-on components, and house power and
data.
Tiles attach to the frames, allowing tremendous variety and control of the design and function of individual frames. |
A Vivo D-shaped surface provides a convenient place for team members to collaborate, and
translucent window tiles let light in. |
| Crisp Aesthetic
Clean lines. Trim pieces have a thin profile and interlock for precise alignment. |
 |
Wide surfaces, low walls on glides, and open returns make an inviting space, with a distinctive
emphasis on the horizontal. |
 |
Crisp Aesthetic
Visual highlights. Furniture-style glides have a progressive appearance and let in light; open work surface supports are light scaled; a
horizontal bead between tiles has a reflective surface. |
Ample surface area, along with significant storage in 22-inch overhead units with sliding
doors, creates spaces for focusing on work. |
|
Crisp Aesthetic
Purposeful palette. The concise selection features light-to-dark, warm-to-cool finishes that combine harmoniously; glass,
laminate, veneer, and textiles offer sophisticated choices.
|
 |
About Face orientation gives people the option of facing outward; a freestanding bookcase adds
surface and storage space with a residential feel. |
 |
Smart Performance Versatile application. Configurations range from highly collaborative areas to more
enclosed workstations.
Variety of heights. Walls are from 35-79 inches for different levels of privacy; stacking frames can raise the
height to 90 inches. |
A Vivo marker tile and bookcase help furnish an informal meeting space outside a Vivo
workstation. |
|
Smart Performance
Choice of tiles. To support various aesthetic and functional needs, 10 tile styles are offered; crisp edges provide a tight,
consistent reveal.
|
 |
A Vivo peninsula surface provides extra work space and a place for guests to pull up; veneer
adds richness, and a translucent window tile lets in light. |
 |
Support for Technology
Proven power. Vivo provides a reliable 4-circuit, 8-wire electrical distribution system.
Multiple routing. Power and data are managed
in the base, and frames allow horizontal routing every 11 inches. |
In a light-scaled touchdown space, Vivo open supports with furniture-style glides lend an open
feel. |
|
Support for Technology
Multiple access. Power and data tiles provide access at many locations above and below the work surface.
Easy
installation and change. Cables in the top and base are laid in. |
 |
With its crisp design and glass, veneer, and painted door options, the Vivo sliding door
storage unit is a fresh alternative for overhead storage. |
 |
Sustainable Design
Strict standards. Vivo was designed according to Herman Miller's cradle-to-cradle protocol; also GreenGuard certified.
Recyclable.
Vivo is 69 percent recyclable; frames are 100 percent recyclable steel; a typical workstation has 36 percent recycled content. |
The painted surface of a Vivo debossed tile has a reflective quality that enhances its textured
pattern. |
|
Sustainable Design
Powder coated. All trim, supports, and storage components are powder coated, eliminating polluting VOCs.
No solvents.
Stains are water based. |
 |
Vivo's trim pieces have clean lines and interlock for precise alignment and fit. |
 |
Sustainable Design
Good wood. All wood is harvested from managed forest resources.
Earth-friendly textiles. Most textiles are made of a single material
for easier recycling; many lines are 100 percent recycled polyester. |
Furniture-like glides on a Vivo open base give workstations a lighter feel and promote airflow. |
