These walls provide the best of two worlds. They combine the versatility and
cost savings of a panel system with the structural security, sense of
permanence, and full-height privacy of floor-to-ceiling constructed walls.
Unlike constructed walls, however, full-height movable walls from SCA
Wall Services, a Herman Miller Alliance Partner, can be easily relocated
when organizational structure or facility use changes. That means they can
protect a customer's investment by retaining their usefulness in new
situations.
Like partial-height walls, they can carry panel-hung
system components, which saves space in enclosed offices and allows the use
of coordinated elements throughout a workspace.
With a proven,
40-year track record in the full-height wall business and an established
customer base, our movable walls offer the kind of permanence needed to cope
with a world of change. |

|
Easy, clean installation. Our wall systems can be completely
installed or moved by a small crew. Walls attach to runners at the floor and
ceiling without damaging the permanent facility.
Ceiling runners can
be clipped or screw-mounted to the existing ceiling. Floor runners use teeth
to penetrate carpet without cutting or flattening it. Panels can be leveled
to accommodate uneven floors. |

Quick relocation. These movable walls are 90-99 percent reusable so they
can adapt to business changes. Relocation is fast, neat, and simple with minimal
disruption to surrounding areas.
Cost savings. These wall
installations typically can save up to 70 percent over the equivalent drywall
construction. Since they are quicker to install and relocate, project times are
shorter.
Versatility. Walls can be used with systems components,
freestanding furniture, or both so that V-Wall enclosed offices can coordinate
with a variety of work styles and facility designs.
Acoustical
privacy. The acoustical rating for our wall system is STC 33 to 41,
depending on product configuration. |
|
|
Systems integration. Walls support Herman Miller furniture systems
hanging components and most leading brands from competitors, allowing
consistency between enclosed and open areas.
Because walls also connect
to partial-height systems panels, step-down designs can be created as well.
Also, the walls serve as a power chase delivering power and cabling from the
ceiling to the connecting systems furniture. |

Large finish selection. Finishes include glass, fabric, veneer, vinyl,
laminate, and COM. Independent surfaces allow for combinations of either side to
be hard surface, tackable, or acoustical.
The panels can be recovered
for future upgrades or repairs. The aluminum frames allow the designer to choose
elevation detail and achieve tile patterns and surface combinations of all
finishes and materials. |
|
|
|
Door options. Swinging or sliding doors in full-height or partial-height
assemblies in a variety of finishes are available. Doors can be solid core or
glass in a variety of trims and connectors and are offered in a wide choice of
architectural finishes. |

Strength and durability. At 2 ¼ inches wide, walls offer the structural
properties of standard construction in less width, which saves space. Walls
support 2,000 pounds per spline, single- or double-side loaded. Floor and
ceiling runners are high-grade aluminum for long-term strength.
Environmentally friendly. Since components are reusable, there's no drywall
trash, finishes, or electrical components to dispose of and consume landfill
space. |
|
|
|
Power & data. Walls accommodate power supplies vertically, horizontally,
or both. The 8-wire base electrical system integrates completely with the Herman
Miller standard for systems furniture panels. The base raceway offers lay-in
capability for cabling. |
